Thai Foot Massage

A Thai Foot Massage lasts about 45 minutes and involves massage to the lower legs and reflex points on the feet using thumbs, hands and a traditional wooden Thai massage stick. This stimulates the internal organs, encouraging the body and mind to balance as well as activating the body’s natural healing mechanisms.

You will remain fully clothed during your treatment. Please wear a garment that can be easily raised above the knee.

Research indicates that, amongst other things, a Thai Foot Massage can:

  • assist relaxation and reduce stress
  • improve circulation to the legs and feet
  • stimulate lymphatic drainage
  • aid the removal of toxins
  • help to boost the immune system
  • reduce stiffness and improve flexibility
  • improve sleep
  • provide a feeling of general wellbeing

A one-off treatment will always be beneficial, especially when particularly stressed.
However, the best way to reduce stress levels and maintain balance and wellbeing is to incorporate regular treatments into your lifestyle.

Aftercare:

  • Drink plenty of water over the next few days to assist in the elimination of toxins from the body
  • Reduce caffeine intake
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours
  • Make time to relax

You may experience reactions when the body begins its self-healing as it eliminates toxins. These reactions are temporary and are positive signs that your body has responded and is balancing itself.  They may include:

  • Frequent visits to the toilet
  • Increased thirst
  • Fatigue and drowsiness
  • Feeling emotional
