Release Wellbeing Privacy Notice

Your privacy is very important and you can be confident all personal information you provide will be kept safe and secure, and will only be used for the purpose it was provided. 

Release Wellbeing is committed to complying with the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), reference C1074996

Initial contact

Upon making initial contact to enquire about counselling services, your information will be collected in order to assist the enquiry:

Name, telephone number, address, email address, GP contact, nature of enquiry

If you decide not to proceed, your personal data is deleted within ninety days. If you would prefer your information to be deleted sooner than this let us know. 

Once a client finishes counselling, unless subject of a court order or other legal requirement, your electronic and hard copy information is deleted/shredded ninety days after therapy services have terminated. If you would prefer your information to be deleted sooner than this, please provide a written notice.

Our use of this information

Your personal information will be used only to provide you with our services and to give you information relating to our services. Confidentiality will only be broken if there is a legal requirement or a genuine cause to believe that there is a child or adult safeguarding issue, or a perceived risk of harm. Your therapist will always try to speak to you about this first, unless there are safeguarding issues that prevent this.

Security

We will take all reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of information you give us.

Communications in connection with this service may be sent by text or e-mail. Whilst we endeavour to keep our systems and communications protected against viruses and other harmful effects, we cannot bear responsibility for all communications being virus-free.
